Cumulonimbus cloud formations are usually
associated with thunderstorms, heavy rain, snow and hail. They form a huge mass of dense cloud
that can tower from, in the region of 6,000 feet up to a height of some 20,000 feet.
The base is normally dark grey in colour, whilst the higher parts can appear to be
